Noolan – the story of the North

The lifestyle collection NOOLAN is a trailblazer in environ-mentally conscious clothing design. The starting points of the design are the special characteristics and functions of the different materials. The structural solutions strive for ultimate simplicity, avoiding any excess "decoration" and energy consumption, based on the "less is more" principle. Ecological soundness and minimizing the environmental burden caused by the products are part and parcel of this thinking. Its extensive and long-lasting collection gives the consumer the opportunity to choose a selection with a personal look and to supplement it over the course of time.

The simple and classic designs create a timeless product and ensure maximum life cycle. The pure and high-quality natural fibers cause a minimum amount of environmental burden throughout the product life cycle. The main materials of the collection are linen and wool, Physically, natural fibers are good for the human body, radiant with peace and pleasurable harmony amidst the hectic demands of modern life.           

Noolan listens to the users and not to the seasonal whims of trend-designers. Direct feedback and customer requests are valued tools in the development of new designs, concretizing interaction between the consumer and design. The product family lives with its creators and users, some of the products have natural wastage, and new products are born of actual, recognized need.

The Noolan Collection is awarded with several remarkable Design prizes i Finland.

The Noolan collection won the first price of the MTO Ornamo's (the Finnish Association of Designers) EkoÄly – (ecologocal intelli gence) competition in Febuary 2005.
